Overview

On behalf of our client in the FMCG Distribution sector, we are seeking to recruit a competent and reliable Operations Assistant to join their growing team. The role is based in Kitale with responsibility for supporting day-to-day operational efficiency in warehouse, fleet, compliance, and general administration.

Specific Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operations, logistics, or distribution (FMCG/Alcoholic Beverages industry is an added advantage).

• Strong knowledge of stock management, reconciliations, and operational compliance.

• Proven experience in fleet coordination and general administrative support.

• Good IT skills (MS Office, especially Excel).

• Strong organizational, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure, with high levels of integrity and attention to detail.

Responsible For

• Support daily warehouse operations including stock receipt, storage, reconciliation, and dispatch.

• Ensure sales vehicles leave on time with complete documentation and monitor their turnaround.

• Oversee fleet management including maintenance, insurance, licensing, and inspection schedules.

• Coordinate with loaders, drivers, and security staff to maintain order and operational efficiency.

• Monitor compliance with safety, health, and security requirements including PPE usage and CCTV functionality.

• Handle administrative duties including procurement of quotations, licenses, permits, and operational supplies.

• Prepare timely and accurate reports on stock, fleet, compliance, and operations for management review.

• Provide direct operational support to the MD, including staff supervision and task prioritization
